Contractor/Installer Referrals
++Discount Solar Supply maintains a nationwide list of contractors/installers that may be provided to our customers upon request solely as a convenience. Discount Solar Supply is not a contractor and as such we do not sub-contract installation services to anyone. In addition we do not make contractor/installer recommendations. And as always, we highly recommend that you always verify that any contractor or installer that you are considering possesses the necessary licensing, certification, bonding and insurance. In addition, always check references before signing any contract. The decision to use any contractor/installer on this list is entirely at your own risk. Should you decide to use any contractor/installer from this list, you hereby agree that Discount Solar Supply under no circumstance shall be held liable for the following: (1) third-party claims against you for damages; (2) loss of, or damage to, your person or property; or (3) economic consequential damages (including lost profits, savings or interest paid) or incidental damages even if we are informed of their possibility.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO INSTALL ANY PRODUCT THAT WE SELL WITHOUT THE USE OF A LICENSED, CERTIFIED, EXPERIENCED CONTRACTOR OR INSTALLER
STOP !!
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE !
Many states as well as local municipalities may permit the home owner to perform a self/DIY installation of the products that we offer as long as the products are installed according to current NEC electrical codes. Although this may be permitted, Solar Home, Inc, highly recommends that the installation of any system that we sell be performed only by a licensed electrician.
Installation of the products that we offer exposes the installer to voltages and currents that are considered lethal and can cause injury or even death if not installed properly.
The decision to self/DIY install any product that we offer is entirely at the consumer’s own risk. Discount Solar Supply highly recommends against self-installing any electrical portion of the systems that we and assumes no responsibility or liability for loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or incidental, which might arise out of the installation or use of any of these products.
Self-installation of any of the above listed products shall be entirely at the user's risk.
Price Guaranty
We will beat any nationally advertised price on the same grid tie solar system offered by a competing dealer under the following conditions:
1. If you find a lower
price, it must be verifiable by one of our staff, so we request that you
provide us with the dealers contact information.
2. Due to fluctuations in the
cost and availability of various products, our price guaranty may only be
honored at the time of sale and not afterward.
3. Our price guaranty only
applies to prices which are nationally advertised via the Internet, Radio,
Newspaper, Television, Mailer etc. and must be posted by an actual dealer of
alternative energy products. The product must be able to be purchased by the
general public (companies that require you to purchase a membership, do not
qualify).
4. Our price guaranty applies
only to like products and not equivalents, in other words " apples for apples "
i.e. same manufacturer, same model, same warranty, same shipping cost, new in
the box. Not refurbished or a customer returned item.
5. The nationally advertised
price must be offered by a legitimate full service business which offers live
pre and post sales support for the products that they sell. Businesses that only
offer a shopping cart for placing an order do not qualify for this offer. The
business must operate from a physical address. Individuals operating from
their home, automobile or a PO box do not meet the requirements of this offer.
6. Our price guaranty applies only to items that are new, in stock and ready for shipment from the dealers place of business.
7. Due to the extreme volatility of the current solar panel market. Until further notice our price guaranty does not apply to solar panels.
8. We do not perform installations so if
the quote that you have obtained from a competing dealer is not itemized and
includes installation, we will need to see a breakdown of the cost for materials
in order to beat the price that was offered to you for materials.
Rebate Reservation
Your rebate amount if any may vary depending on expected system performance and will be calculated based on equipment ratings and installation factors, such as geographic location, solar module tilt angle and azimuth angle and shading. Please note that many states and or utilities will use the the AC rating of the your system's equipment and not the DC rating of your system's equipment when determining the amount of your rebate. The AC rating of your equipment is typically calculated by multiplying the PTC rated output of your solar panels by the number of solar panels multiplied by the CEC weighted efficiency of your inverter, multiplied by your system's design factor which is based on module tilt angle, azimuth angle, shading and geographic location, multiplied by the current per AC watt rebate amount. Please contact your state or utility company to determine equipment ratings and exactly how your rebate will be calculated and what your rebate amount will be. In the event that you have paid Discount Solar Supply a deposit or have paid in full for the purchase of a grid tie solar system and you are unable to secure an approval on your rebate reservation from your state or utility company’s rebate administrator, we hereby agree to issue you a full refund of your deposit or a full refund of the full payment that you made to us toward the purchase of your solar system so long as the product has not been shipped to you. In the event that you have paid in full and your solar system’s components have already been shipped to you and you are unable to secure an approval of your rebate reservation from your utility company’s rebate administrator, Discount Solar Supply hereby agrees to issue you a full refund of the full payment minus shipping costs, upon the return of the solar system’s unused, undamaged equipment so long as said equipment is returned to our warehouse within 30 days of its delivery to your site. Please note that as a courtesy, Discount Solar Supply offers free assistance to its customers in filling out their rebate applications but assumes no liability or responsibility for securing a rebate for you nor any liability or responsibility for securing any specific rebate amount. For this reason Discount Solar Supply highly recommends that you wait until you have received your rebate reservation confirmation before taking delivery of your solar system’s components. If you have paid in full for your solar system and have not yet received an approval for your rebate reservation, Discount Solar Supply will store your solar system for you at no charge until you have received your rebate reservation approval.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances are we liable for the following: (1) third-party claims against you for damages; (2) loss of, or damage to, your person or property; or (3) economic consequential damages (including lost profits, savings or interest paid) or incidental damages even if we are informed of their possibility. If any product or service that is offered by this website is found to be defective, Discount Solar Supply and its officers shall not be responsible for reimbursement of any cost related to servicing, repair, correction or replacement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
Customer Remedy
Discount Solar Supply's entire liability, and the purchaser's exclusive remedy, shall be a refund of the price paid or replacement of our products, at our option. We limit replacement to thirty days. All remedies are limited to the United States. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
Solar System Performance
Solar system performance is based on many factors which are completely beyond the control of Discount Solar Supply Incorporated. Therefore Discount Solar Supply, Incorporated. its officers and its employees make absolutely no claim as to how your system will perform in your specific application. Furthermore Discount Solar Supply, Incorporated does not perform solar system installations and is not involved in any way in your solar system's installation and therefore disclaims any responsibility for the quality of your solar systems installation. As mentioned above solar system performance is based on many factors, one such factors which may negatively impact your solar system's performance is the availability of peak sunshine. Peak sunshine is defined as sunshine which is available during clear sky conditions between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM. The 5 to 6 hour peak sunshine energy production examples depicted on this website are meant for estimation purposes only and may not be applicable to your specific installation, and are typical only for certain areas of Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Your site's number of peak sunshine hours and your solar system's performance will vary depending on factors such as, geographic location, the angle at which your solar panels are tilted, time of year, degree of annual cloud cover, pollutants in the air, dirt and guano (bird droppings) build up on the solar modules, time of day, solar module age and condition, the quality of your installation, obstacles to sunlight such as trees and buildings, and the direction (azimuth) that the solar modules are pointed at. Because conditions such as the level of reflectivity impacting the backside of bifacial solar panels can vary and because conditions such as your site's number of peak sunshine hours, geographic location, the angle at which your solar panels are tilted, time of year, degree of annual cloud cover, pollutants in the air, dirt and guano (bird droppings) build up on the solar modules, time of day, solar module age, obstacles to sunlight such as trees and buildings, and the direction that the solar modules are pointed at, Discount Solar Supply makes no representation as to the amount of additional power or efficiency that bifacial solar panels are capable of and makes the manufacturer's specification sheet available to you for reference purposes only. In all cases Discount Solar Supply Incorporated, DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO SOLAR SYSTEM PERFORMANCE, WHETHER EXPRESSED, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Obtaining An Installation Permit
Discount Solar Supply, Inc. hereby makes no representation that any solar system that we sell will meet your municipality's specific permitting requirements. As such, Discount Solar Supply, Inc. highly recommends that you or you contractor obtains an installation permit prior to purchasing and installing any of our systems.
Solar System Design
Discount Solar Supply uses data provided by you and or your installer as well as the
best available data from Google Earth® images to determine the best layout for
your solar panels. If this data is inaccurate, for example, we have been
provided with inaccurate dimensions or angles of your roof or there are legally
mandated restrictions or setbacks that we have not been made aware of or there
are vent pipes or other obstacles that interfere with the placement of your
solar panels or you or your installer has decided to modify the original layout
design that we have provided you with then your installation may require
additional components such as mounting brackets, wire, railing, combiner boxes,
flashings, standoffs, tilt legs, etc. Discount Solar Supply is solely responsible for
supplying you with the items that are identified in your quote and is not
responsible for supplying you with additional components free of charge. Should
your installation require additional components such as those identified above,
we will make those items available to you at our normal discounted pricing.

Kilowatt Hour Cost Estimates
*This 7 cents per kWh cost estimate is based on a standard concrete tile or composition shingle roof mount installation using one of our $1.48 per watt Ecostar grid tie solar systems installed at a cost of $1.30 per watt or less with no barriers to installation that would add additional costs to the installation and are after the 30% federal tax credit has been applied to your system cost** These calculations do take into consideration your estimated cost to replace two inverters at year 11 to 13 and year 22 to 24 and your estimated cost for labor to possibly replace no more than four failed solar modules and are calculated over the the 30 year life expectancy of this system. This kWh costs for energy estimates is based on a cash purchase and does not consider the cost of financing should you decide to borrow the money to purchase your system and does not consider any possible return on investment if you had decided to invest your money elsewhere. Your kilowatt hour costs may vary. The 7 cents per kWh estimate mentioned above is dependent upon an installation labor rate of no than $1.30 per watt and is also dependent upon at least 5 hours of average peak sunshine per day.
Solar system performance is based on many factors. One such factor which may negatively impact your solar system's performance is the availability of peak sunshine. Peak sunshine is defined as sunshine which is available during clear sky conditions between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM. The 5 hour peak sunshine energy production examples depicted on this website are meant for estimation purposes only and may not be applicable to your specific installation, and are typical only for certain areas of Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Your results may vary. Please read our sales policy for more information. These factors are beyond the control of Discount Solar Supply and thus Discount Solar Supply , Inc. makes no representation as to how your system will perform in your specific installation. This 7 cents per kilowatt offer is dependent on the availability of a net metering policy that compensates solar users at a full retail cost of electricity rate. This 7 cents per kilowatt offer is null and void should your state, municipality or utility company change their existing net metering rules in the future so that they include net metering fees or compensates solar users at less than a full retail rate. This 7 cents per kilowatt offer is available for a limited time and is dependent upon the the availability of a contractor that charges no more than $1.30 per watt that serves your area that can complete your installation and obtain all necessary permits that will be needed to qualify for the 30% Federal tax credit before it expires on December 31st 2018. Please be aware that as we approach this deadline, the demand for installation contractors is expected to increase dramatically, so this offer may end at any time, without notice. Time is of the essence.
